How We Work:
At Doma Kitchen & Bath Showroom at Wallcovering Ltd., our mission is to design useful, livable, beautiful, and unique living spaces for our clients. We know that no matter what the size of the project, choosing the right partner to design and supply materials for your project is essential to a successful remodel.
So first, we would encourage you to visit our showroom. See our products. Meet with us personally. Take a look at our portfolio and see our previous work. We want you to be entirely comfortable, knowing that you have made the right choice by partnering with Doma to create your new living space.
Once you've made the decision to hire Doma to design and supply materials for
your project, we move on to the second phase, which is measuring and drawing
plans. Many of our clients are surprised (and even a little bit nervous) when
we arrive at their home and start measuring outside of their kitchen or bathroom.
Our philosophy is that no room exists in a vacuum, and that every home has a
flow and a rhythm to it, and it's impossible to design a functional and attractive
living space without taking into account the space around your intended project
space. Once we've measured, we'll go back to the drawing board (literally) and
hand-draw plans for your room.
Phase three is the reveal -- where you come to the showroom and we show you the ideas we come up with. Sometimes clients fall in love with one concept, and sometime we combine elements of several. Once we've discussed the design options and settled on a direction, we move on to the next phase of your project.
By now, you've probably spent some time looking at and picking out products for your project, but in phase four we really begin finalizing your selections in earnest. If you're having trouble deciding, it sometimes helps to find one thing -- whether it's a cabinet door, a granite color, a particular tile, etc. Once you've "locked in" on that, you can start to build the rest of your selections around it. And remember: there's an enormous amount to choose from out there, and new choices hit the market every day -- don't second guess yourself! Once you've settled on something that is beautiful and that you love, go with it and enjoy it.
Once you've settled on a design and ordered your products, the real fun can begin! If you'd like, we can refer you a few area contractors with whom our customers have had positive experiences. If you have your own contractor, we'd be more than happy to work with them as well. Either way, we will meet with the contractor to go over the project so that they can give you an accurate estimate and be prepared for the installation. We'll put together a construction package with plans, a product list, specifications, and any documentation that came with your materials so that your contractor has all necessary information at their fingertips when they need it. Once your product arrives, we will coordinate with your contractor for deliveries so they have what they need, when they need it.
Finally, as your project progresses you'll probably find a few things you'd like to add on, change, or just have questions about. The staff at Doma will be available to you throughout your project until it is complete and you are not just satisfied, but absolutely thrilled!
